Raising the profile of research for health among young Kenyans The Fifth National Call for Research Internships - 2014 The Consortium for National Health Research (CNHR) is a Kenyan non-governmental organization whose mission is to contribute to the strengthening of national research for health in Kenya.  This is done by providing support for multidisciplinary research to individuals and institutions, and engaging policy makers in formulation of health research policies that are evidence based.  The Consortium also contributes to the building of networks and communities in research for health.  The Research Internship Programme CNHR sponsors an annual research internship exposure programme that enables young graduates to make informed choices of pursuing a life-long careers in research.  READ MORE HERE >>>

Funded Postgraduate Diploma in Research Methods The KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Programme an internationally renowned health research programme and and Pwani University, one of the dynamic young universities in Kenya, are jointly offering opportunities for a fully funded Postgraduate Diploma in Research Method.  This unique Diploma provides an opportunity for recent graduates to gain theoretical and practical knowledge of research within an international research environment through attachment at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Programme and supervision and mentorship by researchers from KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme and Pwani University. The Rhodes Scholarships at Oxford University Every year, scholars from 14 countries around the world, including two from Kenya, earn the privilege of becoming Rhodes Scholars by demonstrating their outstanding intellectual and academic ability, integrity of character, strong leadership abilities, energy and drive, and their commitment to public service. The Rhodes Scholarships offer full funding for two years’ study and are tenable only for full time post-graduate study at the University of Oxford.
